Christian formed his multifamily real estate company Mulligan Valley Capital in 2020 after wrapping up a 10-year professional career between the Rockies and Mariners. Since he has the unique distinction of actually having been in their shoes, he decided to make it his mission to provide both current and former players with the education and awareness of different investing strategies.

2021 World Series Champion Tyler Matzek (IG: @tamatzek , Twitter: @TylerMatzek) and I spent a couple weeks in the Virgin Islands recently and sat down to talk a little bit about his journey. We played together from 2012 to 2016 with the Colorado Rockies. We made our MLB debuts within 2 days of each other in 2014, and the future was bright.

However, the next season he developed the "yips" and was almost completely unable to throw a baseball. He contemplated retiring from the game, but his wife believe in him and felt he had more to give. He began working with a former Navy SEAL and in addition to many other things, changed the way he looked at adversity.

This is a short episode but incredibly inspiring story of determination, grit, and belief!
